The Black Sandz Saga

Black Sandz

In the shadow of a fallen world, the last flickers of civilisation cling to life behind UV-lit walls and rusted steel. The Black Sandz series is a brutal, character-driven saga of survival, sacrifice, and what it means to stay human when the world no longer is.

Firestone Bay is one of the last strongholds, a city held together by Guardians, Rangers, and grit. But beyond its borders lie the horrors of the Shadowlands—twisted ruins stalked by mutants, infected monstrosities, and creatures beyond imagining. From the fungal terror of the Skidz to the towering nightmare of the Cardinals, every journey into the black sands risks corruption, madness, and death.

In The Darkest Night, an elite unit ventures into the cursed ruins of Old Lexi, uncovering a monstrous threat that defies explanation. What they bring back—or fail to—sets the stage for the catastrophic events of Siege and Desist, where Firestone Bay faces an all-out assault from a terrifying new enemy determined to burn the city to ash.

Told through the eyes of warriors, medics, leaders, and survivors, Black Sandz blends horror, action, and emotional drama in a relentless world where every choice comes with a cost—and no one survives unchanged.

This is not just the end of the world. It’s what comes after—and this is only the beginning. The Black Sandz saga continues in future releases, with more horrors to uncover, more lives to fight for, and more legends to forge in the ashes of the old world.

Overview

Black Sandz is an original post-apocalyptic saga set in the wasteland of the Southlands. Our story begins in a harbourside settlement built upon the ruins of the old world. Beneath ultraviolet lights and guarded walls, humanity clings to survival while something new and monstrous stirs beyond the sands.

The series explores power, belief, corruption, loyalty, family, and the cost of defending civilisation when the world itself has changed.

Now spanning multiple self-published novels and expanding into motion comic form, Black Sandz is a long-form intellectual property designed for cross-media storytelling.

The Darkest Night – Blurb (Book One)

Before the Fall, Alexandros was a thriving metropolis—one of thousands during humanity’s golden age. With the sustainable fuel crisis behind them, the world had begun to heal, striving toward balance and brilliance. But that golden age ended in ash. The Southlands, once lush and vibrant, are now the Shadowlands—a forsaken realm where black sands choke the streets, the colour green is only a memory, and even the sun dares not linger above the dead, dry soil. Alexandros became a desolate graveyard known as Old Lexi.

When brothers Archie and Jaks—two of Firestone Bay’s most daring Rangers—are forced to abandon their vehicle and cross the cursed ruins on foot, the fate of their city hangs in the balance. Firestone Bay is more than a home; it’s a beacon of hope in the Shadowlands, a sanctuary offering light and aid to those beyond its walls. The brothers carry something vital—something the last stronghold of humanity and the last surviving green forest in known existence needs to survive the night—all the while unknowingly uncovering a greater threat that could bring about the city's fall.

But between them and salvation…

Beneath the sands, black-blooded abominations stir restlessly—infected husks of humanity twisted by a parasitic fungus-like mutation. Yet even they pale in comparison to the ones who created them. Towering predators cloaked in black with golden wings and crimson eyes… the Cardinals. These abominations are the curators of despair and the bringers of death…

And this night? This night was only the beginning.

Siege & Desist – Black Sandz (Book Two)

One of the last great strongholds of humankind—a city built on unity and equal survival—is about to fall. Firestone Bay stands not just for herself, but for every surrounding settlement, offering aid and protection wherever it can. Built atop the bones of an old-world military harbour, the city’s heart is a fusion of timeworn granite structures and towering patchwork citadels made from scavenged steel and scrap. Ultraviolet lights burn atop its walls, keeping the nightmares at bay, while rope bridges and gangways connect its tiers like veins in a living creature.

Unease has already taken root in the city. Whispers of sabotage have turned to alarm, and before the people can brace for impact, Firestone Bay is plunged into chaos. As monstrous armies swarm the outer walls and darkness descends, something more sinister waits patiently in the shadows—biding its time to strike at the city's heart.

Firestone Bay has long stood against the horrors of the Wasteland, its Guardians and Rangers versed in holding the line. But now, they face a threat they never expected—one born not of the dark, but of betrayal, cunning, and ruthless ambition.

This time, the danger is organised. Ruthless. Human.

As the city’s defences crumble, old grudges, buried secrets, and broken hearts come to light. For the people of Firestone, survival was never easy—but this night, it might just be impossible.

No one saw it coming. Not like this.

Black Sandz Motion Comic Adaption

The Black Sandz Motion Comic began as an adaptation of my novel, but it quickly became something more — a full-spectrum test of what can be built with limited resources and relentless commitment.

Over the better part of a year, I developed the project independently. Every visual asset was created individually. Every scene was structured, edited, paced, and refined without studio infrastructure or external funding. The process demanded not only storytelling ability, but production design, voice performance, sound direction, editing discipline, and brand cohesion.

This project demonstrates my ability to:

  • Translate long-form narrative into cinematic structure

  • Create cohesive visual worlds from scratch

  • Edit for atmosphere, rhythm, and emotional impact

  • Perform and direct voice work

  • Manage scope and deliver ambitious projects independently

  • Build transmedia IP with consistency across formats

It also reflects something more personal: dedication. The willingness to commit to a project long after the novelty fades. To finish what I start. To refine rather than abandon.

The motion comic stands as proof that meaningful media does not require large budgets — it requires clarity of vision, adaptability, and follow-through.

As both an artist and a consultant, this piece represents how I approach every project: resourceful, strategic, and uncompromising in execution.
